Changed
Church Office Hours |
|
Our church
office open 10am-12noon, Tuesdays and Thursdays. |
|
Church
Council after discussion with staff decided to reduce the
number of paid hours in the church office.
Tuesday
will see the office attended by volunteers
and Thursday will see Anita working in the office. |
 |
Congregational
Annual General Meeting |
Church
Council has set our Congregational AGM for March 30th
(following the 10.00am Worship Service).

FYI
- 20 vehicles will be parked each weekday 7 am - 3 pm in the southwest corner of our church car
park. This is a rental agreement that has just been finalised and is a great blessing to our finances. The
vehicles will be on our grounds until September and then again next year until October. If you have any queries please see
Fritha, David or Brian.
SEVEN
New
Airconditioning Units Installed |
|
During
the first week in February 2025, new Reverse Cycle
Airconditioning units (for both heating and cooling) were
successfully commissioned in our church.
ALL
GAS appliances - space-heaters, stoves and hot water services
have now been DISCONNECTED and replaced with modern and efficient ELECTRIC
appliances. A final gas reading has been made.
This
project is part of our church's move to energy sustainability.
There have already been significant savings on our power costs
with the solar panels installed in 2024.
Thank you to the property team who have
worked tirelessly to see these projects undertaken and completed.
No more gas bills!

Our
2025 New Year's Day Event was
a 'winner'5p |
|
We
enjoyed a BBQ and picnic on New Year's Day at
our church.
It
was a great time for fellowship with our friends from Vanuatu
(ni-Vans).
A wonderful gathering with many people and
plenty of finger food and a BBQ.
Games
included horseshoes to throw, "indoor
games"
And, a performance with music by our island friends. |

GREAT
NEWS for our Church |
We
have received a grant of $10,000 toward our sustainability project, from
Synod Emissions Reduction Fund (SERF) program in order to meet the Uniting
Church Australia
emissions target 2040.
This
grant greatly assisted us in the next step of changing from gas heating to much
more efficient airconditioning. As of February 2025 we
no longer need a gas supply.
A big thank you to Brian for all his hard
work in the preparation and setting out the submission to Synod.
Since
the installation of Solar Panels in March 2024, we have replaced the 18
year old Kitchen gas stove and the two gas hot water services (serving
Kindergarten and church) with 'modern technology' electric appliances.

SUCCESSFUL
CAR BOOT SALE was held 12 October
2024 |
Vendors
and shoppers filled the south
carpark on this sunny
Spring day !
Thank
you all so much for your help in making our first
fundraiser for some time, a resounding success.
We
had enough bookings to fill the south car-park. The
BBQ was going from 8.30am and the Kiki 77 coffee van
was ready with hot, fresh coffee and cold drinks
from 8.00am. Our church also ran cake and plants
stalls.
People
came for a browse; enjoyed a coffee and picked up
bargains . . .
Our
church raised $1,077 towards outreach programs, and
St Andrew's Kinder raised $400.

Dedication
of Model Railway
On
7 April 2013, the Church was pleased to welcome June's family
to “The Big Shed” to support her as she unveiled a plaque on
the model railway, gifted to the Church after the passing of June's
husband Don.
The
“Trains in The Shed” now provides much interest, fellowship
and fun for many.
Creative
skills continue to be employed as work on the model railway
progresses. |
